Assembled Mouthpiece & Barrel
To make our first sounds, we will begin with just the mouthpiece and the barrel. We will add the rest of the clarinet back on soon.
If your clarinet is already assembled, carefully remove the bell, lower joint, upper joint and place them back in the case to keep them protected.

Reading Music!!
This page shows notation for the long tones, exercises, and short songs you learned on previous pages. With each line of music notation, you will find the letter names of the pitches above each note and the fingering for each note below the pitches. In addition, to the right of each line of music notation, you will find an audio file to play along with- have fun playing!!
At this point, you've given yourself a great foundation to build from and should seek help from a private instructor or group ensemble. Check with your local music stores and schools to find the right teacher and/or group to continue your studies. Good luck and have fun learning!!!
